The DER is required: Conduct a review of all disciplines applied under this plan to ensure consistency and conformity with human resources policies and procedures Ensuring that all test results are stored in a locked file system Providing guidance and counseling Overseeing and evaluating the drug and alcohol testing program Arranging types of testing (random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, etc.) In charge of referring employees for evaluation and treatment A designated employer representative (der) is an employee with the authority to remove employees from (or have them removed from) safety-sensitive duties and determine whether testing and evaluations should take place.
